IMMEDIATE POSITION AVAILABLE: Midwifery run women's health
project in Antigua Guatemala seeks:
Trainer of Midwives 2 positions available that include:
Training of traditional midwives in their villages, travel in country in Guatemala
to villages, conduct needs assessments, conduct training's, do Evaluation and
Monitoring of training outcomes, write end of year reports. Travel to and conduct
training over 3-4 day period once a week, rotating to another village the next
week. Home base is located in beautiful, historic small town of Antigua, 45 minutes
from the capital, international community, good infrastructure.
Midwives for Midwives is a great organization to work with. We have a 5 year history
of providing community based midwives with over 200 hours of effective comprehensive
training using adult/midwifery model. Very rewarding work. Requirements: Certified
Nurse-Midwife or Certified Midwife preferably with Masters degree Minimum of 5
yrs. experience, grounded in midwifery philosophy and practice, excellent teaching
skills, cirriculum development, innovative, creative, flexible, excellent bilingual
language skillsEnglish/Spanish required, international experience preferred. Must
drive.
